First Spiritualist Church of Quincy

Our services have three parts: Healing Service, a Lecture on a spiritual topic, and Mediumship Spirit Communication.

The Healing Service gives you the opportunity to receive healing energy that is channeled through one of our Healers. We believe that healing can be channeled through thought to those who need it. This is a very calming experience, whether or not you choose to sit in a healing chair.  We encourage you to send healing to your loved ones, our communities, and Mother Earth.

The Lecture covers a variety of topics ranging from the History of Spiritualism to Inspired Insights. It also includes examples of how Spiritualism is a part of our lives on a daily basis.

Mediumship, or Spirit Communication, is the part of the service where a medium proves that "...the existence and personal identity of the individual continue after the change called death." The medium might be a member of our church or visiting from another the Spiritualist church in the community. We also have mediums from abroad stop in often. While there is only enough time during a service for a few people to receive messages from their deceased loved ones on the Higher side Side of Life, everyone present benefits by witnessing proof of the continuation of life.

At the conclusion of the service everyone is invited to our social hour for coffee and conversation.

Sunday Services: 11:00AM to 12:30PM from September through May (Please note, there are no services on Memorial Day or Labor Day Weekends.)

Wednesday Services: 7:30p to 9:00p June through August  During the Summer our students from the development circles take to the platform to demonstrate what they have been studying for the past year.
