What is the First Spiritual Church of Quincy?
We are an Independent Spiritualist Church serving the Greater Boston area, with roots tracing back to the Ladies Aid Society of Boston, organized in the late 1800s. We're a religion of personal responsibility, and we believe that love and life continue after death.
What is Spiritualism?
Spiritualism is a religion centered on personal responsibility for the creation of our lives. We believe consciousness continues after physical death, that communication with those who have passed is a real and provable phenomenon, and that the highest morality is found in the Golden Rule. Who can attend?
Everyone. We're a richly diverse community welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a greater understanding of Spiritualism, mediumship, and healing.

Services
When is your Sunday service?
Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Services are held in person unless otherwise noted.
What happens during a servcice?
An inspirational address in accordance with the principles of Spiritualism, prayer, meditation, healing, and evidential mediumship — messages proving that love and life continue after death.
Do I need to arrive early?
Yes, please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get settled. We invite everyone to stay after the service for a friendly social hour.
Who leads the services?
We have a rotating schedule of visiting mediums and reverends who deliver the address and demonstrate mediumship each week — check our Services page for the current lineup.
Events & Classes
What kind of events do you host?
Regular offerings include Men's Fellowship, Healing Circles, and special events like our Psychic Fair. Check our Events page for the current calendar.
Is there an age requirement for classes?
Yes — the minimum age to attend any class is 18.
How do I RSVP for an event?

Membership
How do I become a member?

We pass a collection basket during Sunday service, and electronic giving is available 24/7 via PayPal on our Donate page.

Your generosity helps us offer enriching classes and events, maintain the church, and give back to those in need in the Greater Boston community.
Can I volunteer?

Healing
Do you offer spiritual healing?
Yes. As Spiritualists, we believe healing is only a thought away. A portion of our Sunday service is dedicated to meditation and healing.
Can I request healing prayers if I can't attend in person?
Yes — email us at quincyspiritualists@gmail.com to request healing prayers from our dedicated church healers, whether for yourself or someone else.
